On October 3, 2018, the court denied SoCal Edison's request to have the court throw out the plaintiff's inverse condemnation claims. This is a huge win for the plaintiffs. Inverse condemnation is a strict liability claim, and merely requires proof that SoCal Edison's equipment caused the fire, and not proof of negligence.
